MALE EYE CANDY FOR 2022 (3): Matthew Finlan

 

Matthew Finlan is in the cast of Orphan: First Kill and he becomes my third favorite eye candy discovery for this year 2022.  He plays the mean brother in the movie and his handsome face really comes out in the screen.  He is hot hot hot!

MOVIE REVIEW: Orphan First Kill - A Prequel with a Twist

I had heard of the earlier Orphan movie but I have no clear recollection of it.  But the movie's reputation precedes it.  Orphan First Kill is supposed to be the prequel.  Surprisingly, I enjoyed the movie very much.  I enjoyed it so much that I felt the movie should've been longer with more interesting plot points, especially that the Dad and the son's characters could've more interesting back stories.

I was surprised that the lead actress is the same actress that did the original so it looked a bit weird that she was supposed to be a very young person.  She did have that childlike aura but it took some suspension of disbelief to see that she was supposed to be a teenager.

The movie has a very interesting twist which I liked very much. When that scene happened, the movie took a different turn but I felt the director did not take  advantage of it and just let the story slide to a foregone and expected conclusion.

The first part of the movie establishes the viciousness of the lead character so by not using the twist in an interesting manner, the movie screeched to a bland ending, which is a shame.

Now that the prequel has been established, I hope the next Orphan movies moves to more interesting territory.

For me, Julia Stiles was such a revelation in the movie.  I thoroughly enjoyed her performance.  It's good that she has played against type in this movie.

If you are into horror movies, I strongly suggest you watch it and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

 

Personal Thoughts: 49 Days to Avoid Jail

I had another court hearing yesterday for my estafa case, and I was happy that the judge did not let the prosecution continue with the presentation of their witness. Thank you Lord!  I am happy they gave me another chance to raise the remaining 1.8 million left to pay until October 11.  

That is 49 days till I go to hell.  Whew!

I admit I am a bit overwhelmed but all I could do is find ways to raise the money with the help of the properties left by my paternal and maternal grandparents.  I know it is not going to be easy but it is probably the biggest challenge I have ever faced in my life.

I was already able to raise the 1.5 million part of the 3.3 million settlement, but that took months!  So good  luck na lang to me to raise the 1.8 million in just 49 days.  Lord, I will need your help here big time.  Just this big sword of Damocles hanging near my head is something that makes me freak out.  But I have no time to be weak or feel sorry for myself.  

I have to be strong for the kids, for Mama, and Vic, please help!  Please give me ideas on how to raise the amount pronto!  Challenge accepted!
